Drill

Drill is an important part of cadet training. Drill promotes discipline, alertness, precision, pride, steadiness, and the cohesion necessary for success within a group.

Open to all cadets! Come improve your drill skills, play drill games and have fun! Dress is civilian clothing (preferably something you can move well in) and non-marking sneakers for the gym as well as wedges and ties.

Go to the Squadron Event Calendar for dates and time. No registration required. Just show up.

Regional Competition

The 2025-2026 Montreal Area (Ottawa Zone) regional competition took place on April 11th, 2026 at the Regiment de Hull in Gatineau. 51 Squadron’s Drill Team competed in the Excellence category (determined by the number of cadets within the squadron, this category is comprised of a team of 18-24 cadets).

Through their hard work, commitment and enthusiasm for drill, they placed 11th overall out of 28 teams in this year’s competition in their category. The top 8 teams moved on to the Provincial competition. This sets us up very well for next year!

Provincial Competition

St-Jean. Good luck to all the teams who moved on.
