Enhance your physical fitness through participation in the sport of biathlon. Biathlon is an Olympic winter sport, which combines competitive, free-technique cross-country skiing and small-bore rifle marksmanship. Training consists of strength and cardiovascular conditioning as well as shooting practices.
In a biathlon competition cadets ski 5 kilometers and stop at the shooting range to shoot twice in the prone position.
Cadets get the chance to compete at the regional, provincial and national level.
Any cadet, from any level, may come out for biathlon. No previous experience is required.
The cadets are responsible to make their way to and from Camp Fortune, Chelsea, Quebec. No transport is provided, Carpooling is recommended.
