BIATHLON
Enhance your physical fitness through participation in the sport of biathlon. Biathlon is an Olympic winter sport, which combines competitive, free-technique cross-country skiing and small-bore rifle marksmanship. Training consists of strength and cardiovascular conditioning as well as shooting practices.
In a biathlon competition cadets ski 5 kilometers and stop at the shooting range to shoot twice in the prone position.
Cadets get the chance to compete at the regional, provincial and national level.

REQUIREMENTS
Any cadet, from any level, may come out for biathlon. No previous experience is required.
Please note that biathlon will be a Run and Shoot this year, regionals will take place on November 15th at Camp Fortune.
*** Athletes may be precluded from competing if there is safety concerns at the discretion of the coach and zone biathlon coordinator***

Date/Time: Saturdays from 0900-1200

Dress: Civilian sports attire
Material to bring: Cadets are responsible for bringing their own lunch, snacks and bottled water. No meal will be provided for this activity.
