â ď¸Phishing e-mailsâ ď¸
We are currently seeing an increase in phishing emails targeting members of our organization. These emails impersonate Officers or Cadets and typically follow this pattern:
-
Initial email:Â A request to meet.
-
Follow-up email:Â Claims they cannot meet and asks for personal information or gift cards.
-
Source: Suspicious Gmail accounts, not official addresses. (Sometimes not visible until you click reply)
What you should do:
-
Do not respond or click any links.
-
Report the email in Outlook by selecting Report as Phishing.
-
Notify your chain of command immediately.
